Chrissi's Baptism and Party

Chrissi was baptized yesterday at Sunrise United Methodist Church. Besides looking absolutely adorable, she was such a good little girl. She sat quietly through church (the cereal straws helped I'm sure) and was so sweet during the actual baptism. She went right to the pastor. We weren't certain how that would go over with Chrissi, but she put her arms right out and went to her!

After the baptism we had everyone back to our house for a celebration. We had so much fun. It was exceptionally warm here yesterday......mid 70's. It was wonderful!!! When we got back we all changed clothes pretty quickly so we were cooler and more comfortable. We kept the guest list shorter than with the boys. We kept it just immediate family and of course her god parents who are our brother-in-law, Mark and my cousin, Trish.

Aunt Sue and Uncle Mark gave her the most beautiful cross earrings. They told me about them last week and I asked if she could wear them for her Baptism. It was such a special gift. She also received lots and lots of clothes!!!!! She ooohed and ahhhed over the clothes and exclaimed, "Oh WOW!" and "Cool!". The girl LOVES clothes and shoes!!!! Trisha, Dan and the girls gave her a kids book with bible stories in it. Super awesome book. And also a beautiful cross that I am going to put in her room. Uncle Danny and Erika and the kids gave her the baby doll and stroller that you will see below! THIS was the hit of the day for her. She loves it!!!!!

It was also extra special because yesterday was the day one year ago that we went to the US Embassy in Guatemala to finalize Chrissi's adoption and apply for her Visa. What a spectacular day to have her baptized!!!
