Could our OUT be coming???

I'm feeling really "positive" today. Trust me, that hasn't been happening a lot lately!! There have been a lot of people getting "out" of PGN that entered at or near the same time as us. Carol, is also hopeful that it will happen any day. So please remember to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We can't wait to hold that sweet, beautiful little girl in our arms again soon!!! Thanks for your continued support!!!!

4 Years Together as a Family

Today marks our four year anniversary with the boys. We arrived at the hotel around noon and frantically paced around our room until we received the phone call saying everyone was there. Around 1:00 on January 17, 2003 we went to the lobby of the Radisson to be joined with Ian and Brennan. What an overwhelming feeling!!! And not overwhelming in a bad way, so many emotions, excitement, and fear all at once. Let's face it, Jesse and I were first time parents of TWO children at once. When we arrived in the lobby, there they were. Ian and Brennan in their fostermothers arms. Ohhh, they were so much cuter than any picture or video that we had ever seen of them......and that's saying a lot since we already thought before we seen them in person, that they were the two most adorable little boys in the world!! Thankfully, my mom and my Grandma went with us. My mom tried to take video, but after about one minute she couldn't take anymore........she had to at least touch them!!! Typical Grandma!!! =) After a few minutes we asked the foster mother's and our Guatemalan facilitator up to our room. Thankfully, the facilitator was able to translate for us. We were able to ask the FosterMother's Ian and Brennan's schedules and visit a bit. They both took such incredible care of our boys that we forever have a place for them in our hearts. About one hour later we were on our own with the boys. After about an hour of playing with the boys and many, many kisses and hugs later we decided that we were hungry. We dressed the boys into their matching Tommy outfits and off we went. They were such little angels!! It was really strange.........we had already somewhat picked up on their personalities just from the videos that we received. Ian was a very alert, active, and happy-go-lucky child. Bren was more on the tired sice of the spectrum. Now everyone that has had children will understand that when I describe Brennan as a crabby, fussy type baby that I mean that with lots of love! Because quite honestly, he was a pretty fussy baby. But God love him, when he was good..........he was really good! =) Anyway, that about sums up our first day with the boys. I just cannot believe that 4 years have passed already. My little babies are now my little helpers. We are going to Chuck-E-Cheese tonight to celebrate. My cousin Trish and her girls are coming to make it extra special!!!

Ian and Brennan, Mommy and Daddy love you with all their hearts. We are so truly blessed that God chose for us to be united as a family. We love you!

Look at my little Angel!!!!

Boy oh Boy!!!! Am I gonna be in trouble with this one!!!!!

Here is her medical report!

This morning I have just finished seeing little Floridalba, she is now aged 5 months and has been, the caregiver shares with me healthy in the past month, also, on the basis of what the person who cares for her tells me, her development also appears to be heading in the right direction she is a happy little girl who is now able to roll form her stomach onto her back and tries really hard to roll over completely, will attempt and grab whatever is nearby and of course brings everything to her mouth, she continues to enjoy being talked to and will make many cooing and some initial babbling noises in return and also to call attention to herself. The caregiver tells me that this little one takes well her diet and is also receiving her ordered vitamin supplement. Upon evaluation today I found this little one in god health her physical and neurological exam do not disclose any obvious abnormality, her weight today is 16 lbs 14 oz, length of 60.6 cms and head circumference of 40.9 cms. She received today her following dose of Polio vaccine. Please find some pictures attached.

5 months old today!

I can't believe that Christina is 5 months old already. We miss her like crazy. She should go to the doctor at some point this week and then we'll receive a medical update as well as new pictures!!!!! YEAH!!! We are entering week number 6 in PGN. I am hoping and praying that we hear something soon. I'm starting to get really anxious!! On Saturday I went shopping with my mom and it was Brennan's turn to go with us. We walked into Kohl's and there were stuffed animals by the registers. Bren picked one up and said, "I want to get this." Automatically my response is, "Not today, honey." That is until he said, "For my baby sister." It was really sweet! I think he is going to be a good big brother. I already know that Ian will be b/c of the way he looks out for Brennan already.

Please, please say a prayer or two for us that Christina gets out of PGN and we can all be joined together very, very soon!!!!!! Thank you!!!

Happy New Year

Sorry that my blog has been so quiet lately. I hope everyone had a great Christmas. We certainly did. The boys were really into it this year. They each set out a plate with cookies and Mommy put out a glass of milk for Santa. After all of our company left on Christmas Eve and we finished cleaning up we heard Brennan crying. He was a bit afraid that Santa Claus was going to come into his room. So he got his wish and Mommy and Daddy let him "sleep" in our bed. I'm afraid that Brennan sleeps similar to me.......... my own mother still refuses to sleep in the same bed with me b/c I was such a horrible kicker. Well that is Brennan!!! He flips and flops and kicks all over the place! Anyway, Jesse woke up first and went downstairs to get started on his morning coffee routine. Ian woke up and came downstairs to check things out. Daddy sent him upstairs to wake Brennan and me. In the highest pitched voice you can imagine he shrieked, "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy........Santa CAME........He ate all the cookies and drank all the milk.......and, and left presents........and BREN COME SEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!" It was sooooo adorable. Their favorite gift was a PlayStation 2 and games. They LOVE it!!!!!! It was a wonderful Christmas!!!! And next Christmas will be even better b/c our family will be complete!!! =)

We wish everyone the happiest of New Year!!!! 2007 is sure to be a GREAT year!!!!
