WOW!!! What a week!!!
Chrissi is doing wonderful without her pluggie. Well except for the long ride home from apple picking on Saturday. Nightmare car ride does not even describe. I think at one point I wanted to throw myself out onto the highway (but besides that the day was a blast and more on that later).
Brennan went to the ENT last week and we have decided that he will have his adenoids and tonsils removed in October. (more on that later).
Last Thursday while it was pouring down rain I was finger motioned out to the bus in the afternoon by the bus driver. If the boys do not follow the bus rules they are going to be written up. Just another issue for us to tackle. UGH!!!!!!!! They were grounded from PS2 and Wii ALL weekend long. Definitely got them where it hurt. (Hurt me and Jess as well!) Did I mention that my dad helped convince them to act right on the bus as well? As I mentioned it was pouring down rain and he kind of made the situation real by
dramatically talking about them having to walk to school in the rain.
That night we went to Disney on Ice, which was really The Incredibles on ice (that we saw 2 years ago), but they just changed the name. The boys didn't really remember it and we had a super fun time! We went with Trisha, Elyssa, and Kiki. (more on that later, including pictures) By the way, a big thank you to my good friend Jaime for the tickets!!!!
Sunday morning I called my mom, who was at the Lake, from Target to let her know about some great deals that I had found. We talked for about 5 minutes and then I asked when her and dad were coming home. She informed me they were leaving shortly because they needed to take my dad to the ER once they were home. The Lake is a bit over two hours from home. She told me they thought it was an appedicitis. Long story short Jesse ended up convincing them not to take a chance with that and to go to the hospital there. It was an appendicitis and he needed immediate surgery. He had a big bubble in his appendix, thankfully it did not rupture. I have to admit that I was pretty worried. NOTHING is EVER wrong with my dad. It was hard not to be there. He was released from the hospital yesterday and the did end up driving home in the afternoon. He is doing ok, definitely still in pain. The guy has had one hell of a year!!!!! (Mom, you too!) Please say a prayer for my dad to get up and about quickly........and maybe for life in general to ease up for my parents. (If you know my family you know what I'm talking about, if you don't I'm sorry I don't want to divulge their information on the internet.)
Hopefully this week will be a little less eventful!!! I guess a girl can dream, huh? =)
